Owl City is muscian Adam Young. Young is from Owatonna, Minnesota. He programs, sings, and synths his electronic pop melodies. Vienna: What record label would you like to be signed with? Why?
Adam: Sub Pop. I've always loved the albums they release. They seem to really view music as art rather than an identity by which musicians must always embrace, regardless to style or creative integrity.
V: When you were recording your record, "Of June," what you were your expectations for it?
A: I grew up playing a lot of Wave Race 64, a Nintendo game with a wonderfully lighthearted electronic soundtrack. That music has always stayed with me and I really wanted to write songs that capture that sort of "feel-good" type of optimism.
V: What is the meaning behind Owl City?
A: There really is no special meaning behind the name, the two words just seemed to fit together to create an interesting mental image. A city of owls? I want to visit there.
V: What is one band/artist that you would like to tour with? Why?
A: Sherwood. Those cats are cool.
V: What song do you think would be Owl City's first music video? Why?
A: I think "Hello Seattle" would make a great video. Seattle itself is just so photogenic, I would love to incorporate footage of the sparkling skyline, the Space Needle and Puget Sound in the twilight. It really is a magical city.
V: What is your goal for Owl City?
A: I want to write music to make people feel happy. I want Owl City to be an escape from all the bad days that inevitably pop up from time to time.

owl city is the best! he's so amazing, and every song has a meaning beneath the words you hear. i love it! ♥
His goal is certainly met with me. I've fallen in love with Owl City from the first song. It's different from other music I listen to because by the time I'm done listening to a few songs, I feel simply elated. These years it's hard to be optimistic, but these songs are like a warm mug of tea. I can't say that about any other artist I've listened to.
All of his songs make me so happy just listening to them. They really do lift my spirits and i listen to them so many times a day! I LOVE IT ^^

i love the way theses songs just lift you and make you sorta go into your own little world.some people may think that stuff like this is totally uncool, but i beg to differ.colors and emotions in theses songs are over lushed, and bountiful, and wanted by all who know of you.you are a person seeking a different light and i admire you for that adam, for it is not always the song that get the attanchion, but the person who deserves the astounding credit.
i am so upsest with owl city my older sister faith is the resine for that lol the first song i heard by owl city was hot air balloon. any way i just wanted to let you know that i think owl city showd tour San Antnio TX i know your coming to Dallis but still San Antonio is a big place and i think you would make a lot of mony offf of it for more equitment (and so i could see you lol)
